We had a busy meeting in October which included figuring out our meeting schedule and hosts, as well as our charity block colours/themes for 2017. An email with all this information will be sent out to our members shortly.
Our charity blocks for October were red, black and gray.
Two of our memebers will be assembling these blocks into a comfort quilt top. I wonder what type of fabric they will use for the sashing and borders?
Nancy visited at one of our meetings earlier this year and donated this spinning four patch cat quilt top to be quilted and donated to the chemo clinic at our local hospital. It has been quilted and bound and is ready for donation. Thanks, Nancy!
Show and tell included projects made by several of our members. These seasonal pillows were made by G.

The red and white quilt was made from patterns gathered on a shop hop.
J’s friend was visiting from Holland and was a special guest at our meeting. She had a couple of quilts to show us as well. We all loved this quilt!
She had to make the backing a little bit wider and did that with this strip!
E and J also had matching bags and landscape projects to share. They used the same inspiration picture for their landscape quilts.
J also finished off a very old UFO–she hand quilted this one!
P has been experimenting with landscape quilts and here is one that she made recently.
Can you believe that this quilt was made with only three fabrics? Wonderful quilt, J!
Another J and G put together a comfort quilt with word fabrics which were donated by guild members several months ago.
A attended a selvage workshop recently and made a table runner.
H made a wonky churn dash quilt.
Of course, all this show and tell made us all hungry! A few snacks and drinks were enjoyed with some conversation. Next month, our comfort quilt blocks will be made using 30’s prints.
